Now regular 10-30 is bad news, so pick a motorcycle oil or diesel oil rated for your temperatures. Adjust the idle stop screws for a balanced gauge/etc. readings. If the rpm is too high, set each idle stop screw (CV) a wee bit less; or a wee bit more if idle is too low, and then go back & adjust one of them for balance. For slide-only carburetors with the slide adjustment on the side of the carburetor, adjust that. If I let it sit for a while it'll run for 10 seconds or so (and sound good!)and then die abruptly.
